About Me
I have more than 10 years experience working in museums and a portfolio of knowledge and expertise in a range of areas including: curatorial, learning, audience development, communications, advocacy, fundraising, tourism and wider sectoral agendas.
Having worked in a regional role for over five years, I have a wealth of experience of building capacity and raising the profile of cultural heritage across the North West of England. I have established a sound reputation for brokering robust partnerships in what was previously a fragmented region.
I graduated from the University of Toronto with a first class degree in Art History and have an MA in Museum Studies from The University of Manchester. I possess strong interpersonal skills, a flair for motivating, negotiating, influencing and networking and this is backed by consistent delivery and high levels of efficiency.
With a strategic overview of regional and national priorities, I thrive at identifying opportunities in challenging times. I strive to be an excellent advocate for the sector, campaigning for the transformation of the way museums and galleries approach visitors, exhibitions and activities.
I am well-liked, respected and a trusted figure in the sector. I am also well known for my passion, dedication, professionalism, enthusiasm and 'making things happen'.
I am based in the North West of England but can work throughout the UK and beyond.
